Carmela B. Sharples (nee Schiavello), 89, of West Chester, formerly of Overbrook, died April 15.

Born in 1925 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Carmela (Calla) and Fortunato Schiavello.

She was a caring wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to making a happy home for her family.

Carmela was the beloved wife of Donald P. Sharples Sr.; loving mother of Patricia A. Haas (Andrew) and Donald P. Sharples, Jr. (Kristin); loving grandmother of Andrew Haas, Ava Sharples and Logan Sharples; dear sister of Rosemary Schiavello. Predeceased by siblings; Theresa Squillace, Dominic Schiavello and Fortunato "Jay" Schiavello.
