Anthony F. Caruso Jr., 46, of West Grove, died suddenly on Thursday, Nov. 6, while on business in Redwood City, Calif. He was the devoted husband of Ann Marie Saienni Caruso with whom he shared 22 years of marriage and the loving father of Abigail.

Born in Darby, he was the son of Anthony F. Caruso, Sr. of Smyrna, Del. and the late Josephine Giusti Caruso. Anthony is also survived by his sister, Renee Caruso-Neel of Oxford and many aunts, an uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Anthony graduated from Avon Grove High School in 1986. He obtained a bachelor of science degree in accounting from West Chester University in 1990 and a master of arts degree in management, business administration from Penn State University in 1995. He also obtained his certified public accountant license in 1995 and a chartered global management accountant designation in 2012.
He was the chief financial officer for ZenBanx based in Redwood City, Calif. Prior to joining the team at ZenBanx, Anthony was employed by Capital One Home Loans where he served as vice president of Enterprise Services. Prior to that, he had a very successful 13-year career with ING DIRECT USA where he served many roles such as head of lending change implementation, head of lending and treasury administration, chief risk officer, and senior vice president finance and controller. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, getting away to the beach, cruise vacations, creating the perfect margarita, frying smelts on Christmas Eve, fantasy football, poker games with the guys, pinochle, game-based learning, digital cinematography and playing with the family dog, Bella.
Anthony was loved by all and will truly be missed. He had an amazing sense of humor and the most positive outlook on life. When diagnosed with leukemia in 2006, he was determined to not let the disease define him. He embraced life, made the most of every day and never wanted people to feel sorry for him. He accepted the hand he was dealt and always said, “I can be a fountain or a drain…I choose to be a fountain.” He was a very generous man. He never lost sight of the many blessings in his life and always felt it necessary to share his good fortune with others.
