Chadds Ford Days set for Sep 8 and 9

Looking for a great way to end the summer? The 47th annual Chadds Ford Days Fair will be held on the grounds of the Chadds Ford Historical Society on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8 and 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The fair begun by Chris Sanderson to commemorate the Battle of the Brandywine has evolved from a colonial fair emphasizing 18th century life to a family friendly event that includes juried crafters, fine artist exhibits, colonial demonstrations, live entertainment, food and grog provided by local restaurants, breweries and wineries, and games and rides for the kids.

Once again, the Friends of Auburn Heights Preserve will exhibit antique cars.

Admission is free to members; $5 for adults; kids, dogs, and parking are free.  The Chadds Ford Historical Society is located on Creek Road, one-quarter mile north of Route 1. For information call, 610-388-7376 or visit: www.chaddsfordhistory.org
