David Lawrence Asimos, 47, of Lansdale, died Thursday, June
30, at his residence.
Born in Wilmington, he was the son of George Asimos of
Bolivia, N.C., and the late Elizabeth Anne Asimos.
Musically gifted from a young age, David provided piano
accompaniment for the Unionville High School Chorus and, in his senior year,
played the lead role of Tevye in The Fiddler On the Roof. He played multiple
instruments in four years of marching band and was a drum major.
He attained the rank of Eagle Scout in Unionville Boy Scout
Troop 22.
He attended Wake Forest University and earned a B.S. degree
from the University of Delaware. He earned a Masters Degree in Health
Care Administration from the University of Phoenix.
David developed a deep concern for the wellbeing of hospice
patients and devoted his professional career to that work. He was
associated with hospice organizations in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio
and Pennsylvania. In his hospice career he began as a unit clerk, moved on to a
marketing and promotions manager, and eventually executive director.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one brother,
George Asimos Jr. and his wife Kristie of West Chester, and one sister, Carol
Clark and her husband Norman of Harrisonburg, Va. He had eight nieces and
nephews.
David doted on his nieces and nephews and loved to laugh
with them and spoil them with gifts.
He was a gracious and joyful son and brother. His
frequent booming laughs will be long remembered.

service at 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the Circle Hill Cemetery, Greenwood
Avenue, in Punxsutawney.
