The Boys and Girls Track & Field team did well at the
District 1 meet last week. UHS had over 30 athletes who qualified to
participate in the meet and 10 of them will continue on to the state meet this
weekend at Shippensburg University.

Individual medal winners for the Indians were Glen Burkhardt
(1st in 3200 meter), Susie Pancoast (1st in discus, 3rd in javelin, and 7th in shot
put), Perry Hopkins (2nd in javelin), Lauren Mills (4th in 3200 meter), Alicia Minella
(4th in 100 hurdles and 5th in 200 meter), Kelsey McDonald (7th in 800 meter),
Dima Curtis (7th in the discus), and Steve Yannacone (8th in the 1600 meter).
The Girls 4X400 meter relay team also received medals for finishing 7th.

Overall, our Girls Track & Field team finished 4th out
of 68 teams in District 1.
