Summer is a great time to learn a new skill, practice your art—or find a camp to keep the kids from complaining that they are bored already! Fantastic camps, classes, and workshops for all ages are in full swing throughout the Brandywine Valley. Check out some of the options below and check out the websites and social media of these organizations for updates!

Summer Camps at Chester County Art Association.

The Chester County Arts Association has a full lineup of camps, classes, and workshops all summer long. Young campers can learn a new skill, from drawing to painting to pottery and more, in medium-based or themed sessions. Intermediate and advanced students have options to level up with workshops and classes taught by amazing experienced local artists. The CCAA is located at 100 North Bradford Avenue, West Chester. In A Summer of Color! the Main Line Art Center offers half- and full-day camps for kids ages 5 through 16. Camps let students learn a variety of art styles and techniques, from drawing and painting to printmaking and pottery—even raku firing. There are also a ton of classes available for adults, beginners, people looking to level up their skills, and advanced students. The Main Line Art Center is located at 746 Panmure Road, Haverford. Summer cam creations at Yellow Springs.

Nature inspires great works of art at Historic Yellow Springs this summer. Camps are available for kids ages 6 through 16, based on natural themes as well as various art techniques. Classes for adults run all year long as well! Historic Yellow Springs is located at 1685 Art School Road, Chester Springs. More information can be found at YellowSprings.org.

Magic Makers are invited to join the Summer Spree at Community Arts Center. Magic, myths, dragons, and more will guide the campers through their artistic journeys. There are also Teen Studios that focus on more advanced art skills and techniques. Registration is also open for the ARTSTART Early Childhood Program for preschool-age children, and classes for all ages are also running throughout the year. The Media Arts Council hosts MAC Summer Arts Camps for children ages 8 through 12. Printmaking, eco art, anime, digital art, and metalsmithing are some of the techniques included, leading to fantastic final projects by all artists. There is also a MAC Jazz Camp for high school-age musicians. The MAC Arts Center is located at 11 E. State Street, Media. More information can be found at MediaArtsCouncil.org

Various ages can enjoy arts, music, and more at the Oxford Arts Alliance in various themed summer camps. Classes are also offered at the Art and Music Academies for students of all ages. The Oxford Arts Alliance is at 38 S. Third Street, Oxford. More information can be found at OxfordArt.org.

Classes are offered throughout the year for children ages 8 and up at the Square Pear Gallery. With only four students per class, young artists learn drawing and painting techniques while creating their own masterpieces.
