The lazy days of summer are the perfect time to explore galleries, events, and art in the Brandywine Valley! Cool off inside or enjoy the great outdoors at some of the fantastic art shows happening this month!

Joseph Stella finally returns to the spotlight in a new exhibition of his work, Visionary Nature, on view at the Brandywine Museum of Art. While Stella is known for modern linear paintings of industrial landmarks, this show focuses on the botanical artworks which comprised the majority of his known works. Dwell celebrates the comforts of home at The Art Trust, with work from artists Claudia McGill, Jenna Lucente, Maya Wasileski, and Erika Stearly. On view through Aug. 4, there is an Artists’ Talk on Thursday, July 13 from 7 to 8 p.m. and a closing event Thursday, Aug. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. The Art Trust is located at 16 West Market Street, West Chester. Tie Dye Music Fest at the Community Arts Center on July 15.

Get groovy at the Tie Dye Music Festival at the Community Arts Center, on July 15 from 4 to 8 pm. Plus visit the current exhibitions: Summer Fellows, on view through July 14, showcases teaching artists of the CAC; the CAC Advanced Pastel Studio members show off their works in the Stairwell Gallery through Aug. 26; and Nancy Markezin is featured in the BeaDazzle Lounge Gallery through July 15. A reception for all three exhibitions will be held on June 29 from 6 to 8 p.m.  The Community Arts Center is located at 414 Plush Mill Road in Wallingford, PA. Kristin Bispels and Siobhan Bedford combine their energy in Earth + Ether, a collaborative exhibition at The Jeweled Warrior. On view July 7 through Aug. 6 in the Transformative Gallery. Flowers Inspire at the Square Pear Gallery through July 8. Showcasing the beauty and versatility of floral art with a diverse range of styles and techniques, this show includes twenty-two local artists.
