Robert F. DiMarco, formerly of West Grove

Robert F. DiMarco, 88, formerly of West Grove, died Tuesday, April 30.

He grew up in Devon, a first-generation Italian American descendant of immigrants from Abruzzi Province.

He loved gardening, making wine, volunteering for church and school, and spending time with family, especially Shane and Bridget.

In his early years, he worked as a home builder. Later he owned DiMarco mushrooms. He was known as a brilliant problem solver and fixer of all things mechanical. God’s own helper, he will be missed by so many.

He is predeceased by his parents, James and Barbara (nee Mancini) DiMarco, his wife Louise (nee Frezzo) DiMarco, and his siblings Dom, Vince, and Mary Rossi.

He is survived by his sisters Antonette Biondi and Dora Vito, life companion, Emily Ferreri, and many dear nieces and nephews.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. on Friday, May 10, at Assumption BVM Church, 300 State Road, West Grove. His Funeral Mass will follow at non. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kennett Square.
