The holiday season is a busy one for artists and art lovers alike. As December opens with a flurry of exhibitions, festivals, and shows, ’tis the season to support our local art community!

• The Kennett Square Library opens its new exhibition space with a show from members of the Howard Pyle Studio Group. An Opening Reception will be held Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m., and it will be on view until Dec. 30. The Kennett Library is located at 320 E. State Street, Kennett Square. • Don’t adjust the dial: visit the Corner Art Collective to see the Grayscale Show’s Closing Reception on Dec. 1, featuring an absence of all hues. • The Hook Experiment presents Kindred, on view from Dec. 1 through Dec. 3. Taking advantage of the recently renovated space, this exhibition features the works of twelve women local artists in a celebration of their unique visions and stories. • Visions of shows past return at Home is Where the HeART Is at The Jeweled Warrior from Dec. 1 to Dec. 30. • The David Katz Gallery is hosting Spirit Sky, an art benefit for the YMCA Camp Program during First Friday in Downtown West Chester. • Tradition, style, and surprises abound at Yuletide at Winterthur, on view throughout the grounds until Jan. 7. With a model railroad display, a giant gingerbread replica of the Enchanted Woods, and much more, it is a magical experience for the whole family. While there, don’t miss the highly anticipated exhibition Ann Lowe: American Couturier at Winterthur Museum, on view through Jan. 7. Referred to as “Society’s Best-Kept Secret,” Lowe designed stunning, iconic gowns for heiresses, actresses, and high-society, including the famous wedding dress of Jacqueline Kennedy. • Treasured traditions return to the Brandywine Museum of Art with their annual Holiday Critter sale, held from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3 at the Chadds Ford Historical Society. • The Member’s Art Show will be held at Historic Yellow Springs from Dec. 9 to 17. • The Chester County Art Association ends the year with their $300 and Under and Faculty/Student shows, on view from Dec. 6 to Jan. 3. • My Ukraine at the Baker Gallery at West Chester University shares the culture and history of Ukraine with works from Ukrainian artists. It is on view through Dec. 9. This exhibit is a fundraiser for You Are the Angel, a nonprofit that provides assistance to victims of the war in Ukraine. The E. O. Bull Center for the Arts is located at 2 E. • The Betsy Meyer Memorial Exhibition 20th Anniversary Retrospective features over forty artists from past exhibitions, different generations, and various artistic backgrounds at the Main Line Art Center.
