Ma Luz Herrera, 85, of Cochranville, died Friday, May 19, at Twin Pines Health Care Center. She was the wife of Jose Carmen Herrera who died in 2022, and with whom she share 64 years of marriage.

Born in Yuriria, Yuriria, GTO, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Gonzalez and the late Eufrocina Barajas
Ma was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, all of her animals, and being with her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Rocco Catholic Church.
Ma is survived by four sons, Carlos Herrera of Lincoln University, Jose Luis Herrera of Cochranville, Fidel Herrera of Lincoln University, and Adolfo Herrera of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three daughters, Maria De Lourdes Perez of Christiana, Isabel Herrera of Parkesburg, and Maria De Jesus Herrera of Parkesburg; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 3:30 to 5: p.m. on Thursday, May 25, at St. Rocco Catholic Church, 333 Sunny Dell Road, Avondale. Her funeral mass will follow at 5. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square, PA.
