MacArthur “Mac” Peterson, 71, of West Grove, died Sunday, Nov. 2, at his residence. He was the husband of Sandra Carte Peterson, whodied in 2008, and with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in Relief, N.C., he was the son of the late Luther and Disa Bennett Peterson.
Mac and his brother Willard operated Peterson Brothers Trucking, for more than 30 years, before his retirement in 2008.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR on TV, gardening, and being with his family and his dog, Lady.
Mac is survived by three sons, Matthew Peterson of Pensicola, Fla., James M. Peterson and his wife Richina of West Grove, and Timothy W. Peterson and his wife Dorothy of West Grove; eight brothers, R.L. Peterson of Downingtown, Calvin Peterson of Erwin, Tenn., Willard Peterson of Cochranville, James Peterson of Rock Creek, Tenn., Larry Peterson of Burnsville, N.C., J.C. Peterson of Poplar, N.C., Dayton Peterson of Rock Creek, Tenn. and Sherill Peterson of Erwin, Tenn.; one sister, Nebraska Peterson of Burnsville, N.C. and five grandchildren.
You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, and again from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Road in West Grove.
