Two people were injured July 26 when the motorcycle they were riding was struck on Route 1 in front of Hank’s Place in Chadds Ford Township. The severity of the injuries was not immediately known and troopers responding to the scene did not comment except to say that the information would be presented in a press release. According to people at the restaurant, both vehicles were in the southbound lane of Route 1 when the motorcycle began turning into the parking lot. The right front of the car hit the rear of the motorcycle. The accident happened around 10 a.m.
