Media Barracks
• A 38-year-old woman from Claymont, not identified in the report, was arrested for shoplifting at Wegmans on Dec. 6. She is accused of trying to steal almost $600 worth of groceries.
• Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident on Route 202 near Smithbridge Road in Concord Township on Oct. 29. According to the report, the first car, driven by a 17-year-old girl, was attempting to merge into the left lane to enter a parking lot to make a “U-turn” and proceed northbound on Route 202, but was stuck by another car. The driver of the second car did not exchange information or wait for the police to arrive.
• Police said they cited Michael J. Williams, 37, of Newark, following a two-car crash on Route 202 near Pyle Road in Concord Township on Nov. 14. According to the police report, Williams was following too closely and rear-ended the other vehicle. No injuries were reported. 
Kennett Square Police Department
• Police said Richard Morinelli, 51, of Glenmoore, was arrested on multiple counts, including kidnapping, burglary, harassment, possession of an instrument of crime, and more. Officers said they responded to the address on S. Mill Road, determined that Morinelli threatened the female victim with a steak knife, sent various threatening messages via text, and had also followed her to a casino the night before. An arrest warrant was issued by District Court 15-3-04, and Morinelli was taken into custody by Upper Chichester Police Department on Dec. 23 and transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison by KSPD Officers. This incident is pending a preliminary hearing.
• William McGowan, 69, of Kennett Square, was charged with DUI following a crash in the borough on Sept. 14, according to a police report. Police said they were responding to a crash with injuries in the 100 block of Cypress Street, but that they detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver of the striking vehicle, McGowan. The report continued, saying that McGowan appeared to be having some type of medical episode while officers were attempting to speak to him about the incident, and he was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation. After submitting a search warrant for McGowan’s medical records from this visit, they were received on Nov. 24, with positive findings of alcoholic beverages. Charges were filed in District Court 15-3-04, and this incident is pending a preliminary hearing.
