Concord in brief

It was a quick and uneventful meeting for Concord Township Council Tuesday night.

Council Co-Vice President John Crossan announced that the township received a $4,000 Healing the Planet Grant from Keeping Pennsylvania Beautiful and the Giant Company. The money will be used to buy about 40 native shade trees to be planted along the township park’s walking trail.

Township manager Amanda Serock announced the completion of the Schoolhouse Lane project. The right turn deceleration lane from southbound Route 1 is open and the left turn restrictions are in place.
