T-storms, flooding, tornado possible

A threat of summer storms is generating another flash flood watch, this one According to the National Weather Service, the watch could continue into the overnight hours into early Wednesday morning.

Severe thunderstorms are expected with damaging winds and may produce torrential downpours. Total rainfall could be 1-2 inches with up to 5 inches possible in some areas. There is also a possibility of a tornado, the  weather alert said.

The risk of flash flooding is highest in urbanized and low- lying areas. Rapid rises on small creeks and streams are possible.
