State police said they arrested a 25-year-old woman from Middletown, Del. On disorderly conduct charges. The incident happened on March 14, on Lacrue Avenue in Concord Township, and police are just releasing the limited information now. Police said it was reported that a black female with braids was causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, the woman resisted detainment and was taken into custody.

• Borough police said Paul Macatee IV, 22, of Northeast, Md., was arraigned on April 29, for charges including aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, aggravated assault victim less than 13 and defendant 18 or older, and aggravated assault victim less than 6 and defendant 18 or older. According to the report, on Feb. 10, the Kennett Square Police Department received a report from ChildLine regarding the suspected physical abuse of a 23-month-old child. The reporting party, a mandated reporter from the child’s school, observed numerous suspected burns on the child’s back and alerted police. With the assistance of Chester County Children, Youth, and Families, the child was removed from his home and placed with a family member. The child was evaluated at a medical facility where numerous injuries were identified all over his body. An investigation by the criminal investigation division determined that Macatee had exclusive custody of the child when the abuse occurred.

• The Kennett Square Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the pictured male individual, who is suspected of stealing and damaging an Israeli flag. On April 25, at 4:50 p.m., a report said, while on patrol in the business district, officers were flagged down and advised that a male subject had run up to the reporting person, taken his Israeli flag, and run south on S. Union Street with it before breaking the post and throwing the flag in the garbage. Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or who may have witnessed this incident to contact Officer Ortiz at jortiz@kennettsquarepolice.org.
• Kennett Square police arrested Jose J. Lara Serrano, 23, of Wilmington, and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a report said. According to that report, police stopped a vehicle, a 2026 Honda, for heavy tint on the windshield and windows. During the course of the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of marijuana and the paraphernalia.
• Jadiel Irizarry-Montes, 26, of Newark, was arrested and charged with possessing a firearm without a valid license and other traffic offenses after the 2019 Dodge he was operating was stopped for having heavy window tinting on the front windshield of the vehicle, a police report said. A traffic stop was conducted on April 1, at approximately 11:30 a.m., in the 400 block of N. Union Street. Upon making contact with Irizarry-Montes, officers detected an odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. He gave consent for a search of his vehicle and advised that there was a handgun located inside the center console. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Jadiel Irizarry-Montes did not have a valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms.
