The Delaware County Health Department will host SCORE for Wellness, a free, family-friendly health event, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex in Chester.
SCORE — short for Student-Centered Outreach and Resources in Environmental Health — is intended to connect students and families with health resources and services aimed at supporting safer, healthier living environments across Delaware County.
Free services and information will include lead testing, dental and vision screenings, asthma education, behavioral health resources and guidance on maintaining healthy homes. The event will also feature local organizations that provide out-of-school programming focused on environmental health and youth wellness.
Organizers said the event will have a soccer-themed setup with games, giveaways, light refreshments and special guests, building on interest tied to 2026 FIFA World Cup events coming to the region. “This event is about meeting families where they are and making health resources accessible and fun,” said Lora Siegmann Werner, the department’s director.
The event is being held in partnership with Jefferson Health Plans.
Pre-registration is required. Residents can register by calling the department’s wellness line at 484-276-2100.
Admission is free. The event will be held at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex, 2485 Seaport Drive, Chester.
