An approaching winter storm predicted for Sunday, Feb. 22, has led Kennett Square to issue a snow emergency. The emergency is effective Sunday, Feb. 22, at noon, until lifted.
All vehicles must be removed from the Snow Emergency and Winter Warning routes (listed below and a map of the routes can be found here) during the declared emergency. Parking on these routes is prohibited during the declared emergency. Any vehicles parked on these routes during the declared emergency are subject to ticketing and/or towing.
The borough encourages residents to utilize all off-street parking options (even on non-designated snow emergency and winter warning routes) to assist Public Works in clearing roads and allowing safe passage of emergency vehicles.
