• On Saturday, Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mt. Cuba Center is offering Ecological Garden Design for Homeowners – Section A. Whether you’re planning a complete garden overhaul or a new planting area, learn to navigate critical design principles that align with ecological gardening goals. By taking cues from local plant communities and environments, as well as considering the impact of garden inputs and maintenance, these principles aim to minimize common pitfalls associated with garden upkeep. • Join the Chester County Historical Society on Tuesday, Jan. 6, for The Bias of Science: A Conversation. This presentation and panel discussion is about the history of bias in science, from the usage of “science” to justify bias during the eugenics movement, to the ongoing struggle to prevent bias in the medical field from affecting patient treatment. This program is held in conjunction with the Smithsonian exhibition, The Bias Inside Us, now on display at the Chester County History Center. This presentation will be held in-person at the History Center, with light refreshments and the opportunity to tour the exhibit before the event begins. • Director of Music and Organist at the historic Grace United Methodist Church, Gabe Benton, will make his Longwood Gardens debut on Sunday, Jan. 18, at 1 and 3 p.m. Benton enjoys a multifaceted career as a recitalist, church musician, early music specialist, accompanist, and teacher. The event is included with garden admissions.

• The Hagley Museum is offering a School’s Off – Day Camp at Hagley on Monday, Jan. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp offers a unique blend of STEM and history activities designed for curious minds from grades 2 through 5. Each day features a tailored theme with hands-on, indoor, and outdoor activities.
