Taxes steady in Chadds Ford
There’s no tax increase in Chadds Ford Township for 2026. Supervisors passed the budget during a brief special meeting on Dec. 22. The millage rate remains what it was for 2025, with a rate of 0.6247 in the hydrant district and 0.5577 outside the district. A mill is a tax of $1 for every $1,000 of assessed property value.)
The budget is balanced with estimated revenues and expenses at $1,755,004. The Open Space budget is also balanced with expenditures and revenues at $3,274,084.
Included in the budget is $10,000 for the Rachel Kohl Library and $200,000 for the Concordville Fire Co.
Additionally, the board voted to give a $500 bonus to staff members and $1,500 to Township Manager Lacy Faber.
Other business
Supervisors voted to retain Keystone Collections Group to administer the LST, Local Services Tax, and appoint the firm of Bellwoar & Kelley as special counsel to represent the township in certain legal matters. Andrew Bellwoar was the attorney representing Chadds Ford in the zoning hearing with Calvary Chapel.
