William “Billy” Donovan of Kennett Square

William “Billy” Donovan, 29, of Kennett Square, died unexpectedly on April 24. He attended Unionville High School, where he was a captain of both the varsity Lacrosse and varsity Ice Hockey teams. He skated at Chester County Skating Club and played club lacrosse for Unionville Recreation Association and Dukes LLC.

He went on to attend Cornell University where he majored in hotel administration and graduated in 2015. He was a member of the Chi Psi fraternity and varsity Sprint Football team, as well as the Club Lacrosse and Ice Hockey Teams.

Billy worked in various sectors of the commercial real estate and hospitality industry and had recently accepted a new position as a senior analyst at Watermark Lodging Trust in Chicago, Ill.

Billy was a bright and energetic individual who loved challenge and adventure. He enjoyed cooking, skiing, traveling, Western movies, having a lively debate, and spending time with his family and friends, especially in his role as an uncle.

Billy is preceded by his father, John, and survived by his mother Katy, his siblings Kaitlin (Christopher)Knauss, Amelia (Kyle)Burke,

Annabeth(Tom) Davis, Daniel and Claire, his nieces Esmé and Adeline, and his nephews Benjamin, Jack, Tommy, George, and Joseph.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, at the Kuzo Funeral Home, 250 West State St, Kennett Square. His funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 16, at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a scholarship in Billy’s memory at Chester County Skating Club.  Contributions to this scholarship may be sent to:

Edith E. Fritz of Nottingham

Edith E. Fritz, 91, of Nottingham, died Monday, April 25, at the Christiana Hospital. She was the wife of Herbert F. Fritz who died in 2012, and with whom she share over 50 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Axil O. Blomgren and the late Anna Fitzpatrick Blomgren.

Mrs. Fritz was a homemaker.

She enjoyed cooking, ceramics, and taking care of her children.

Mrs. Fritz is survived by seven sons, Brian Fritz of Orwigsburg, Herbert Fritz, Jr. of Orwigsburg, Wayne Frits of Orwigsburg, Brent Fritz of Poconos, Ross Fritz of West Chester, Todd Fritz of Delaware and Vance Fritz of Delaware; two daughters, Lexi Swatton of Nottingham, and Edythe Marino of Avondale; one brother, Howard Blomgren of Delaware; one sister, Annie Divito of New Jersey; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

She was predeceased by one daughter, Shirley Fritz.

You are invited to visit with her family and friend from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at the Foulk Funeral Home of West Grove, 200 Rose Hill Road, West Grove. Her memorial service will follow at 11. Burial will be private.

Alba C. Roselli

Alba C. Roselli (Esposito), 90, died peacefully on Thursday, April 21, at Pocopson Home.

Born in Toughkenamon, on June 1, 1931, she was the daughter of Antonio and Antoinette Esposito (Pettini).

Alba loved to read, color, do puzzles, and just enjoy the fresh air. Her favorite thing was going on vacations with her family and rocking in her rocking chair. Her great-and-puppies were her pride and joy and they were certainly spoiled rotten by her. She was a diehard Eagles fan and would often be caught yelling at the TV during any sporting event.

Alba is survived by one sister: Vera Campopiano (Esposito); one daughter: Denise Rogowski (Roselli) and her husband Stephen, of Coatesville, one daughter-in-law: Michaele Roselli (wife of David) of Philadelphia, six grandchildren: Stephanie Rogowski, girlfriend of J.J. Stelma, of Morrisville, N.C.; Kristina Rogowski of Coatesville, Jessica Rogowski, engaged to Chad Kurman, of Downingtown, Marielle, Francesca, and Gianna Roselli of Philadelphia, numerous nieces and nephews (Alba was closest to Leonard Grasso, son of Delores, of Sicklerville, NJ); and several family friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, David and Louis, as well as her four brothers & three sisters, Ernie, Rick, Edmund, Frank, Norma, Elda, and Delores

Frederick L. Williams of Kennett Square

Frederick L. Williams, 81, of Kennett Square, died peacefully after a long illness at Christiana Hospital in Newark on Saturday, April 16. He was a resident of Linden Hall and Friends Home in Kennett Square. Born in West Grove, he was a son of the late Paul T. Williams and the late Vivian L. (Edwards) Williams.

Fred was a graduate of Oxford High School, Class of 1960. After graduation, Fred worked for many years for the NVF Company in Yorklyn. During his life, he lived in Downingtown, Florida, Oxford, and was a longtime resident of Chatham.

Fred is survived by his brothers, Paul Williams and Thomas Williams; several nieces and nephews, and his cats Arlo and Bree. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother.
