Route 1 paving expected to start soon

PennDOT now has a projection about when the work on Route 1 will begin. Repaving along the section between the Brandywine Creek and Route 52 was expected to start today, March 23, depending on the weather. Library program mushrooms thanks to grant

The Kennett Square Mushroom Festival has awarded $3,000 to the Kennett Library’s Adult Literacy Program, the library announced in a press release. The grant comes from proceeds from the 2021 Mushroom Festival. The money will help provide adult students with materials for classes in English as a Second Language, American citizenship, and high school equivalency diploma testing, which leads to a GED.
