New manager for Chadds Ford

Chadds Ford Township Supervisors on Wednesday night announced the hiring of a new township manager. Matthew Baumann will replace current Manager Maryann Furlong on May 2.

Furlong is retiring but will stay with the township working on a variety of projects through the remainder of the year, according to Supervisors’ Chair Samantha Reiner. Baumann’s salary will be $100,000 per year, prorated through 2022, Reiner said.
