A national survey released this week ranked Unionville High School as the 49th best school in the country and the second best in the state.

This ranking is a true reflection of the world-class education that every member of the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District strives to provide to all of the children in our community,” said UHS Principal Jimmy Conley.
For the second year in a row, Conestoga High— in the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District — led the state rankings with a national rating of No. 36. The only other Pennsylvania school in the top 50 was Downingtown’s STEM Academy.
The Newsweek rankings assess schools based on a broad range of data to determine which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college, its website said.
In the U.S. World & News Report survey published earlier this year, Unionville High School was ranked No. 530 nationally and eighth in the state. A 2016 state ranking by niche.com, an online ranking service, showed two Chester County schools in the top 10: Conestoga at No. 1 and Unionville at No. 5.
