Media Barracks
• State police from the Media barracks responded to a trespassing call from Skyzone in Concord Township on June 26. According to the report, a woman was at the site dropping off her daughter, but she herself wasn’t allowed on the property. Skyzone staff reportedly told police that she had been sent multiple emails and phone calls saying she was banned from the premises.
• A 29-year-old man from Dunleith, Del., was arrested for stealing more than $2,000 worth of power tools from the Home Depot in Concord Township on June 9. The suspect was not named in the report.
• Police also arrested a 55-year-old man from Brookhaven. (not named in the report) for stealing more than $125 worth of equipment from Home Depot, also on June 9.
• Police arrested a 47-year-old man from Coatesville for shoplifting at Wegmans on May 28. Details of the theft were not included in the report.
• Troopers from the Media barracks are investigating a report of a PFA (Protection from Abuse order). The victim is a 20-year-old woman from Garnet Valley. The victim made the report on May 28. 
Kennett Square Police Department
• Kennett Square police said they arrested Alex Njeru, 29, of Newark, for driving a vehicle that had no valid registration. The traffic stop happened on S. Union Street on June 27. It was later determined that he did not have valid insurance coverage for the vehicle and that his driver’s license was also suspended. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Njeru had an active arrest warrant with the Maryland State Police Northeast Barracks. He was taken into custody, a criminal complaint was completed, and he was then transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison.
• Borough police said On June 12, 2026, an arrest warrant was issued for Christian Vega-Zavala, 22, on June 12. The warrant is based on a June 5 incident after officers were dispatched to an active domestic involving a knife in the 500 Block of Center Street. While en route to the location, police were advised that the subject was in possession of a knife and had left the scene in a black Cadillac. The caller in the incident said that they observed the subject, later identified as Vega-Zavala, approach the victim and brandish a knife in a threatening manner. No physical contact was ever made. Based on the identifications of both the suspect and the suspect’s car, along with the official written statements from the involved parties, a criminal complaint with the above-mentioned charges was completed and filed in District Court 15-3-04.
• Borough police conducted a traffic stop on June 20, in the 400 block of W. State Street, on a vehicle with an expired registration. Upon further investigation, it was observed that the vehicle’s operator had an active arrest warrant from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. Subsequently, she was transported to Central Booking at the Chester County Prison. The woman was not identified in the report.
• On June 16, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of W. State Street for a fraud report of multiple withdrawals from a bank account, totaling approximately $9,400. This incident is pending further investigation.
