Except for one new council member, there’s nothing new for the Concord Township Council in 2026.
Concord’s reorganization meeting started with the swearing in of Dominic Pileggi, John Gillespie, and Dana Rankin, each of whom won reelection in November, and the swearing in of James Hunt, who replaces Colleen Morrone on council, things went as they had been. Pileggi was named council president, and Gillespie and John Crosson were renamed co-vice presidents.
Amanda Serock was renamed township manager, Hugh Donaghue remains as township solicitor, and Nate Cline of Pennoni Engineers stays on as township engineer. Tom Comitta also stays as township land plan Libby Salvucci, and Frank Lamanna were reappointed to the Zoning Hearing Board.
Following the reorganization, Concord held a very brief regular January meeting during which Cline told council and the audience that the township will be gathering information regarding the 2026 Road Program.
“We’re taking complaints or concerns regarding the road network as we work to develop that program,” he said.
Donaghue reminded people that the zoning hearing will resume on Jan. 21 for Concord Acquisition, aka The Shops at Ridge Road. The applicant is appealing the decision by Zoning Officer Manos Kavadias that three buildings, pads 4,5, ad 6, could not be considered as one and that a gas station could not be considered an acceptable accessory use at a supermarket.
