Apotheosis of the Family (1932), by N.C> Wyeth

Tickets are now on sale for guided tours of N.C. Wyeth’s monumental mural, Apotheosis of the Family (1932). Tours begin Dec. 18. The mural is housed in a specially designed round barn on Point Lookout Farm — the home of N.C.’s grandson, artist Jamie Wyeth — in nearby Wilmington. Bookings for these tours will be available at www.brandywine.org/mural. Tour capacity is limited to six people per tour, and advance reservations are required. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In Wilmington, The Grand has scheduled five new shows for its 2025-2026 season. On Feb. 6, the baby grand will host An Evening with Josh Ritter: A Book of Gold Thrown Open; on March 8, Blackberry Smoke: Rattle, Ramble and Roll Tour 2026 will rock Copeland Hall. Then on April 25, Bored Teachers: “Is It Friday Yet?!” Comedy Tour will have audiences roaring in Copeland Hall, and on May 31, The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show brings its exhilarating, high-energy performance to Copeland Hall. Finally, on June 7, Copeland Hall will host the Be Like Blippi Tour! It’s Science Sparks at Hagley on Dec. 26.

Hagley Museum is having a drop-in family program, Science Sparks, on Friday, Dec. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The program encourages innovation and creativity as visitors are given a hands-on engineering challenge to complete. Visitors may build, test, and redesign their creation as they take on the role of engineer.
