Media Barracks

State police from the Media barracks are investigating a case of identity theft where someone stole a Home Depot credit card valued at $19,988, a report said.

Police said someone broke into a trailer on Route 1 in Concord Township and stole almost $700 worth of tools sometime between 5 p.m. on April 28 and 7 a.m. on April 29.

Avondale Barracks

A 19-year-old man from Wilmington, not identified by name, was arrested for DUI in Pennsbury Township on May 11. Police said troopers were responding to a report about a disabled vehicle at 1:40 a.m. and found a crash and an intoxicated driver.

Perry J. Camerlengo, 22, of Kennett Square, was cited following a one-car crash in Pocopson Township on May 10, a police report said. The accident happened shortly at 6 a.m. on Pocopson Road north of W. Street Road. According to the report, Camerlengo was traveling southbound on Poposon Road but was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to maintain the proper lane of travel. The vehicle, a 2024 Ford Bronco, struck a curb on the right side of the roadway, then struck a concrete barrier, and then a boulder. The Bronco then spun counterclockwise before coming to final rest in the grass to the right side of the roadway facing west.

Police are investigating a possible case of stalking in East Marlborough Township. A report said the victim, a 40-year-old woman from Kennett Square, found an Apple Air Tag attached to her infant’s car seat.

Borough police said Desiree Rosales-Diaz, 29, faces charges of false reporting after alleging her boyfriend struck her. Police said her story and the small cut did not jive with what the investigation revealed, and that she later admitted that she fabricated the story because she was upset with their relationship status.
