• The Chadds Ford Historical Society continues its celebration of the Barns-Brinton House’s 300th anniversary. Barns-Brinton House Day — from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, June 21 — features a colonial fair with demonstrations of colonial life, informal talks, colonial music, dancing and a tour of the house located along Route 1 in Pennsbury Township. • Summer History Camp at Brandywine Battlefield Park begins June 30 and continues through Aug. 8. There are six weeklong sessions for children in kindergarten through seventh-grade. The hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Each day of camp is dedicated to a different aspect of the 18th century, including cooking, medicine, a soldier’s life and uniform, “capturing the flag” and purely fun activities like playing with water balloons and much more.
