A 21-year-old man from Philadelphia — not named in the report — was arrested on drug possession charges following a traffic stop in Pennsbury Township on Dec. 12. Police made the stop at 11:01 p.m. north of Hickory Hill Road on Route 1, but no other details were released.

A single-vehicle crash led to the arrest of the driver for DUI. The motorist, identified only as a 59-year-old man from Coatesville, was taken to Paoli Hospital for treatment of injuries. The car, a 2002 Nissan Sentra, overturned on W. Doe Run Road at 3 a.m. on Dec. 12.

State police made a traffic stop on McFarlan Road at Route 1 in Kennett Township on Dec. 10 and arrested the driver, not identified, for DUI. Police said they made the stop at 11:37 p.m.

State police said Michael Carter, 49, of Chadds Ford, was arrested for violating a Protection from Abuse Order after he followed his estranged wife to an address in East Marlborough Township on Dec. 11.

Aisha Dendy-Adams, 30, of Philadelphia, was arrested on shoplifting charges in East Marlborough Township on Dec. 11, according to a police report. The report said police were called by a store employee saying they were detaining the suspect after she had reportedly stolen items from the Walmart.

Police said Schenita Gordon, 34, of Chester, was arrested for shoplifting at the Walmart in East Marlborough Township on Dec. 11. A report said Gordon stole 17 items of baby formula.

A 12-year-old boy from Chadds Ford, a student at Charles F. Patton Middle School was charged with making terroristic threats to a teacher and staff at the school on Dec. 7. According to the state police report, the boy made threatening statements and said he had a gun in his bag as he reached in and out of his bag several quickly. Police said they found he was not armed but charged him with terroristic threats, then released him to his mother.

Police said they arrested a 21-year-old woman from Coatesville on drug possession charges following a Dec. 2 traffic stop on Lenape Road in Pocopson Township. The police report said troopers found a bag of cannabis in plain view and the woman, who was not identified in the report, admitted to smoking marijuana.

Josue Senquiz, 52, of Oxford, was injured in a one-car crash in Pocopson Township on Dec. 7, according to a police report. The accident happened on Lenape Road at 9:44 a.m. Police said Senquiz failed to maintain control of his car while negotiating a left-hand curve north of Wayne Drive. The car crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic before overturning.

Police said Karen L. Proud, 56, of Cochranville, was cited for her involvement in a two-car crash on Nov. 27. The accident happened at 3:38 p.m. at the intersection of Unionville and Street roads in East Marlborough Township. According to the police report, witnesses said Proud was driving west on Street Road when she went through a red light and was struck by a car going north on Unionville Road. The report said the two drivers confirmed what the witnesses reported.

Kennett Square Police Department

A police report said Carolyn Bovell, 36, of Conshohocken, was taken into custody following a vehicle pursuit in which she was operating a stolen vehicle. The incident occurred on Dec. 1, at approximately 4:03 a.m., beginning in the 500 Block of West Cypress Street. Bovell and the stolen vehicle were both located in Conshohocken, on Dec. 2. Officers retrieved Bovell from the Conshohocken Police Department and transported her to Chester County Prison where her bail was set at $25,000 cash.

Amy McKay, 50, of Kennett Square, was charged with PAVC3742(a) Accident Involving Death - Personal Injury and related traffic offenses, following a hit and run accident involving pedestrians in which she was the operator of the vehicle, a police report said. The incident occurred on Nov. 29, at approximately 7:04 p.m. in the area of Center Street and West Cypress Street. The report said both pedestrians advised officers, that Mckay had struck them with her vehicle while they were in the crosswalk and they attempted to get her attention, however, she continued driving away. Contact was later made with McKay at her residence, where officers advised of the summons she would be receiving in the mail. Charges were filed with District Court 15-3-04.

Police said Baldi Diaz-Lucas, 19, of Kennett Square, was arrested and charged with DUI and other related traffic offenses, after the 2020 Honda he was operating was stopped for traveling through a stop sign without coming to a complete stop. The incident happened on Nov. 29, at approximately 7:37 p.m. at the intersection of N. Mill Road and W. Sickle Street. Upon making contact with Diaz-Lucas, officers observed two cases of alcoholic beverages in the backseat of the vehicle along with indicators suggesting intoxication. A field sobriety test showed impairment, police said, and he was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and submitted to a chemical test of his breath, resulting in a blood alcohol level of 0.134 percent. He was processed and later released pending issuance of a summons.
