Police are investigating an armed robbery at the T-Mobile store in the Shops at Dilworthtown Crossing on Saturday.
Westtown-East Goshen police said the robbery happened as employees were closing the store at 9 p.m. on Dec. 16. One suspect — a white male — ordered employees at gunpoint into a rear stockroom. A second suspect — a black male — then entered with a large trash bag, tied the hands of two employees with wire ties and then ordered the third employee to fill the bag with cell phones and tablets. The first suspect threatened to shoot the employees if they failed to comply, police said in their report.
The two suspects in the store were communicating with a third, the driver of a sport utility vehicle who brought the SUV to the rear of the store after they restrained the third employee. The pair from inside loaded the stolen inventory into the SUV and the trio fled northbound on Route 202, but police believe they later turned south heading toward Delaware.
None of the employees were injured, and they were able to free themselves and call the police.
Police describe the first suspect as a white male, mid 20's, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with brown hair, mustache and a green tattoo on his neck. He was wearing a black knit cap, black bandana with white print, black gloves, gray zip hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, and carrying a handgun equipped with a laser.
They described the second suspect as a black male, 6 feet 3 inches tall wearing a black knit cap, black mask, black bomber style zip up jacket, black gloves, black pants and black gloves.
In addition to the phones and tablets, the thieves also took an undisclosed amount of cash from the money drawers.
