The 2026 Blue-Gold All-Star Basketball Games will be played Saturday, March 21, at Smyrna High School.

SMYRNA, Del. — Some of Delaware’s most accomplished high school basketball seniors will take the court together one final time as they compete in the 2026 Blue-Gold All-Star Basketball Games, set for Saturday, March 21, at Smyrna High School.

The annual event showcases standout student-athletes from schools across Delaware and supports two benefactors: the Delaware Safety Council and the Delaware Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (DIBCA) scholarship fund.

The games also serve as a celebration of the state’s senior talent, highlighting players who have led their teams through competitive conference play and state tournament runs during their high school careers.

Standout Players Headline the Boys Teams

Several of the state’s most recognizable senior players headline the boys Blue-Gold rosters.

Among them are Desai Drummond and Terrance Harvey of Appoquinimink, two dynamic players who helped anchor one of Delaware’s strongest teams this season.

Howard High School’s Ronald “Mink” Handy and Nicholas Baysah also earned selections, continuing the long tradition of standout guards from the Wilmington program.

Salesianum, a perennial state contender, will be represented by Dominic Downs, Latrell Wright, and Mark Brown, players who have contributed to the Sallies’ strong basketball tradition.

Other standout seniors selected include Michael Sheehan of Caravel Academy, Braxton Figgs of Cape Henlopen, and Taj’Mir Handy of Milford, each of whom played key roles for their teams during the season.

The boys teams feature players from programs across the state, reflecting the growing depth of basketball talent in both northern and southern Delaware.

Girls Teams Feature Top Talent from Across the State

The girls Blue-Gold rosters also include many of Delaware’s top senior players.

Among the standouts on the Blue team are Lily DiMarco of Padua, Madiella Keefer of Saint Mark’s, Naiya Murphy of Ursuline, and Skylar Bolden and Makayla Sullivan of St. Elizabeth’s.

The roster also includes players who have helped power strong seasons for their programs, such as Bridget Malloy of Archmere, Gianna Cottone of Wilmington Friends, and Naomi Allen of Sanford.

The Gold team features standout players from Kent and Sussex County programs, including Tristen Showell of Milford, Amalia Fruchtman of Cape Henlopen, Amiyah Ellerbe of Smyrna, and Ayssatu “Ice” Epps of Dover.

Two players — Brycelyn Stryckning of Caravel Academy and Lailah White of Odessa — were voted onto the Blue team but will play for the Gold squad to balance the rosters.

Teen Driver Safety Theme Highlights Event

In addition to celebrating Delaware’s top senior basketball players, this year’s event will feature a special theme focused on Teen Driver Safety.

A Teen Driver Safety Fan Zone will be set up outside the Smyrna High School gymnasium on game day, offering interactive demonstrations and educational experiences.

Fans will be able to experience the Seat Belt Convincer demonstration from the Delaware State Police, try a driving simulator from the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement, and explore additional safety displays from the Delaware Office of Highway Safety and the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute.

Organizers say the goal is to combine the excitement of the all-star games with an important public safety message for young drivers and their families.

Game Day Schedule

The 2026 Blue-Gold All-Star Basketball Games will be played Saturday, March 21, at Smyrna High School.

  • Girls Game: Noon

  • Boys Game: Approximately 2 p.m.

The event gives Delaware’s top seniors one final opportunity to compete alongside the best players in the state before graduating and moving on to the next chapter of their basketball careers.
