Spooky, soul-searching experience awaits

Get into the Halloween spirit by visiting the London Tract Meeting House for the spooktacular Return of the Historic Haunting.

Visitors learn about the “Ticking Tomb” from Martin Wells, reenacting “Septimus Nivens,” who farmed and lived in the area many years ago.
Visitors learn about the “Ticking Tomb” from Martin Wells, reenacting “Septimus Nivens,” who farmed and lived in the area many years ago.

On Saturday, Oct. 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., visitors can tour around the London Tract Cemetery, possibly encountering a few of the interesting souls from times gone by. Take a walk down the Haunted Trail for some spine-tingling fun. The woods are a different place at night; join our ranger on a short night hike.

Organized by Friends of White Clay Creek Preserve and ACT Theater Company, the event will feature refreshments, music, and more. The meetinghouse will be open, and visitors can sit for a spell at the fire pit with a campfire and campfire songs.

The Historic Haunting is free, but donations to offset the cost will be gratefully accepted. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

London Tract Meeting House is located at the intersection of South Bank, Sharpless and Indiantown roads in Landenberg. For more information, visits www.friendsofpawccp.org.
