Leiser ranks 8th in U.S.

Congratulations to the UHS Speech and Debate team for
outstanding performance at the CFL Nationals in Washington DC this past
weekend. Unionville competed against 2900 students from across the U.S. Seven students
had qualified to Nationals through the Philadelphia district competitions held
in March, including Meg Boeni, Virginia Bonds, Andrew DeMarco, Duncan Keller,
Savy Leiser, Caroline Parrish, and Wes Wright.

Unionville outperformed the 30 other schools in the
Philadelphia league, with four students reaching the elimination rounds. Savy
Leiser reached the semi-finals in Original Oratory, ranked 8th in the U.S. Wes
Wright was a semi-finalist in Congress; and Meg Boeni and Duncan Keller were octo-finalists
in Duo Interpretation.
