With the United States just two months away from celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, it should be noted that in just more than a year and a few months later, there was the Battle of Brandywine. Gen. George Washington used this building, the Ring House at the Brandywine Battlefield Park, as his headquarters before the start of that battle.
