
• The Kennett Square Holiday Light Parade will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m. New this year, the parade will feature The Woodland String Band, a beloved Philadelphia Mummers group known for their colorful costumes, lively music, and high-energy performances that are sure to bring the streets of Kennett Square to life. Additional live performances will include the Longwood Dance Company, Kennett High School Marching Band, the Dixie Demons High School Alumni Group, and the Lenape Brass Ensemble. The parade will be on State Street between Broad Street and Mill Road.
• Mt. Cuba Center is planning a Wild and Rooted 5K Trail Run on Nov. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For the first time, runners and walkers are invited to explore the natural lands of Mt. Cuba Center on a one-of-a-kind course that winds through meadows and forests, along streams and ponds, and across the same scenic terrain that Mt. Cuba’s conservation team manages to restore and protect native habitats. The cost is $45 for runners and walkers, $20 for spectators. Register here.

• The Delaware County Symphony presents A Holiday Chamber Concert on Sunday, Nov. 30 at p.m. Delaware County Symphony musicians, along with guest conductor Joe Lorini, will provide an afternoon of various small ensembles performing classical arrangements of traditional seasonal music. The concert closes with the audience joining in a joyful sing-along. Tickets, starting at $25, are available here. The concert will take place at Neumann University – Bruder Life Center, Meagher Theatre in Aston.
• PAWS For People, the Delaware-based pet therapy organization, will have a presence at the National Dog Show in Oaks, Pa., this weekend, Nov. 15-16, as the primary attraction for the Therapy Dog Meet & Greet Zone. PAWS therapy dogs will be showcased in Hall B, offering visitors the chance to pet, hold, and relax with these certified therapy dogs. Saturday’s show will be taped by NBC for a two-hour special airing on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 2 p.m. on NBC 10. Tickets are available in advance at https://nds.nationaldogshow.com and at the door. Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for children aged 4-11, with children three and under admitted free. Parking is also free.

• The Chester County Art Association presents “Craftapalooza” on Saturday, Dec. 6. At Craftapalooza, each child, age 5 to 14, will have the opportunity to make three age-appropriate projects that can be used as holiday decorations or gifts for someone special in their life. The only special skill required of participants is the willingness to try something new. Professional artists will lead each activity, which includes painting, drawing, crafting, and generally having a good time. • Clover Market’s Holiday Market, returning to the Westtown School Athletic Center, 975 Westtown Road, on Nov. 22 and 23 from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. The holiday event, now in its third year, will take place the weekend before Thanksgiving and showcase over 120 handmade and antique vendors offering high-quality, artisan products and vintage treasures perfect for holiday gifting and decor.
