Wild game over flame at Mt. Cuba Center on Oct. 12.

Mt. Cuba Center is offering some Wild Game over the Flame from 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 12. Visitors can make their own tacos while enjoying a casual evening around a campfire, grilling wild game meats and veggies. The game is from the Mt. Cuba property, gamer that has a negative impact on the vegetation. Fresh toppings and everything you need to make Mt. Cuba-inspired tacos, and a cash bar is available. Garden admission included. Delaware County Community College is holding an open house at its Marple Campus on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 4 p.m. It’s an opportunity to learn what DCCC has to offer, including at its Downingtown location in Chester County and our newest location in Drexel Hill, opening January 2026. Opera Philadelphia comes to Longwood on Oct. 23.

Longwood Gardens principal organist Peter Richaerd Conte will be teaming up with singers from Opera Philadelphia as part of the opera company’s Pipe Up! The event is Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. The program features the works of Bernstein, Rossini, Verdi, Wagner, and more. Reserve seating is $35. Tickets are available here.

They’re calling it Trick or Treat Around the Square. It’s being billed as A family-friendly event for the community to enjoy trick-or-treating and entertainment at Glen Eagle Square on Oct. 28 from 5-7 p.m. Guests can explore the Square, enjoy seasonal fun, and engage with participating tenants. Tenants are encouraged to activate their storefronts and/or offer specials during the event to help drive foot traffic into their locations. There will be branded trick-or-treat bags, face painting, and a themed photo station.

Hagley Craft Fair on Oct. 18 and 19.

Oct. 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is the Hagley Craft Fair. The event brings in artisans from the Mid-Atlantic region to display and sell fine arts, crafts, and gourmet items. This premier show features works in wood, leather, pottery, jewelry, fibers, metal, and other media, and includes a specialty food market. Advance tickets are $10 for adults at $8 for children 8-14. On Thursday, Oct. 9, Concord Township will hold its Senior Citizen Expo. More than 80 exhibitors from state agencies, local organizations, businesses, and clubs will be on hand to share their expertise and information on services. Refreshments are served, and many door prizes are awarded throughout the morning.
