America voted and Longwood Gardens is the winner of the Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights contest by USA TODAY’s 2020 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards. With more than 500,000 outdoor lights and fountains that dance to holiday classics, Longwood won the contest sponsored by USA Today and 10 Best.com, topping a list of 20 botanical gardens from across the U.S.

Rounding out the top five is Galaxy of Lights at Huntsville Botanical Garden in Huntsville, Ala., Gardens Aglow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine; Dominion Energy Garden Fest of Lights, at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, Va., and Winter Lights at The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, N.C.

This is not the first time Longwood Gardens has won the USA Today/10 Best contest. This is the third consecutive year the Garden has won the Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights award. In addition, in 2014, 2016, and 2018 Longwood was named Best Botanical Garden in North America. Guests can experience the award-winning display now through January 10, 2021. Admission to the Christmas display is by Timed Admission Ticket, with tickets purchased in advance for a specific date and time. Limited tickets are available now at longwoodgardens.org.
