The County of Chester is working hard through the Decade to Doorways Initiative to eliminate homelessness in Chester County within 10 years. But on frigid days like today, the network of support services currently available within the county has gaps that cause some families to have nowhere to turn.
United Way of Chester County recognizes that immediate funds are needed to fill these gaps in services to assure that no families sleep on the street in these life threatening conditions.
For this reason, we are looking to raise $10,000 in the next 48 hours to help close the gap and keep families off the street.
This Code Blue Emergency Fund will provide immediate support for individuals and families who are homeless or at risk for becoming homeless through our partner agencies to provide such things as, but not limited to, emergency shelter for families when existing shelter services are operating at full capacity, utility and housing assistance, and basic need supplies.
Help us help Chester County today.
The need is great and the time is now.
Please help us by making a donation today so that we can help people be warm right now. Go online right now and make a gift to the Code Blue Emergency Fund. Or send a check to:
