Pastor John E. Borroughs of Avondale

Pastor John E. Borroughs, 83, died Thursday, Oct. 3. He was the husband of Patricia Gravels Borroughs, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Born in Gloucester County, Va., he was the son of the late John Paul and Rebecca Gunn Borroughs. He was the pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Avondale for the past 28 years.
