• Birmingham Township supervisors adopted a new cable franchise ordinance for its agreement with Comcast Cable. No figures were discussed, but Supervisors’ Chairman John Conklin said before the session that Comcast would increase its payment to the township to 5 percent. The company now pays 3 percent.
