*** FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL CANCELLED ***

It is with much regret that Newlin Grist Mill announces the cancellation of the Fall Harvest Festival scheduled for Saturday, October 1st. This is in light of the current weather forecast, calling for significant and sustained rain with the potential for high winds overnight Friday and through most of the day Saturday.

We do not make this decision lightly and are taking into consideration the health and safety of our volunteers, demonstrators (some of whom are coming from long distances), vendors, and the public; the physical impact on the site and historic buildings; and the number of festival activities that are weather-dependent.

While the staff had hoped for a triumphant return of the festival this year, we feel this is the right call. We thank everyone for their understanding.
