The Friends of Martin’s Tavern will Host Humphry Marshall’s 300th Birthday Anniversary in the town of Marshallton, just outside of West Chester, in Chester County, Penn.

The October 8th event is free and open to the public and includes children’s activities, 18th-century re-enactments and colonial fare throughout the day. The event honors the 300th birthday of the colonial botanist and scientist Humphry Marshall. It is sponsored by the Friends of Martins Tavern, with support of West Bradford Township, and will be held beginning at 11 a.m. in the village of Marshallton, just outside West Chester, PA.

Enjoy open hearth cooking and tastings, period music, colonial brews, a lecture series on colonial horticulture. Children’s activities include colonial games & crafts, and a special tree propagation program for children. Plenty of free parking is available behind the Three Dogs Restaurant in Marshallton.
