State police said they arrested a 29-year-old woman from Philadelphia (not identified in. the report) for making terroristic threats and taking unauthorized photos in the District Court in Concord Township on Sept. 10. The suspect was arraigned, and bail was set at 10 percent of $25,000.
Kennett Square Police Department
• Borough police said Roberto Lainez failed to appear at his preliminary hearing on Sept.9 and an arrest warrant was issued. The arrest came as part of an incident in Kennett Square on June 19. According to police, they received a call about suspicious activity in the area of E. South Street and S. Walnut Street. The reporting party advised a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, was in their backyard attempting to talk to their children and was last seen walking westbound on E. South Street. Police later identified the person in question as Lainez. The report said the smell of alcohol was coming from his body and breath, and that he was swaying. He originally identified himself as Roberto Vasquez and was taken into custody.
• Police said Maurice Corporal Jr. was arrested for aggravated assault and spraying people with pepper spray. The incident took place on Aug. 29. The report said that when making contact with Corporal, he exhibited a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his person and complained of burning eyes, stating that he had been sprayed with pepper spray. A search of his person revealed a large, used canister of "bear pepper spray" in his left pant leg. After speaking with all victims involved, he. was taken into custody for aggravated assault and other related charges.
