Weather events slow the rebuild of Hank's Place.

It might not look like much has been accomplished so far, but work is continuing on the rebuild of Hank’s Place at Route 1 and Creek Road in Chadds Ford Township. Several rainstorms flooded the area and there were at least two snow events that caused delays. However, crews said Monday that it will be about another one-and-a-half to two months before the concrete is poured for the foundation. The building was torn down on Dec. 8, more than two years after the flooding from Hurricane Ida made the old building unusable.

UPDATE: Concrete is scheduled to start early next week once rebar is installed and inspected, according to Katie Young, owner.
