An explosion of color and vibrancy takes over the Brandywine Valley this June. So many events are happening each week, with opportunities to see art and artists at their summer best. From fairs to shows to exhibitions to new experiences, it is a great time of year for art lovers!

Stroll through the sixth annual Phoenixville Art Street Festival. Featuring over 50 artists, demonstrations, street performances, raffles, family activities, and more, it is a fantastic opportunity to wander through the art-filled town. The festival will be held Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information can be found at PhoenixvilleChamber.org.

The experimental and the innovative take over an entirely new space in downtown Oxford. The Hook Experience will be a three-day multidisciplinary exhibition, featuring over 25 artists in The Hook Building, which has recently been renovated into a nontraditional exhibition space. The exhibition includes photography, paintings, music, projection, sculpture, and more. The Hook Experience will be held Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4. Twenty-one artists will participate in the Multiplicities exhibition at the Regional Center for Women in the Arts, through June 30. Including a range of genres from representational to conceptual to abstraction, the show celebrates local women artists. Find out more in this article on Chadds Ford Live. See A Different Side of Me, a solo exhibition from Matiko Mamaladze, at the Media Arts Council from June 2 through July 2. An Opening Reception will be held Friday, June 2 at 7 pm. The Jeweled Warrior hosts Women’s Voices, a solo show from Robin Sesan featuring original clay monoprints and mixed media collages. On view through June 23 in the Transformative Gallery. The Annual Oxford Student Exhibition at the Oxford Arts Alliance showcases the best young artists from regional schools, on view from June 1 through 23 in the Main Gallery. In the Emerging Artist Gallery, take in the EAG Project Program for OAHS Students: The World Revolves Around Me, a solo exhibition by Guadalupe Juarez. The Oxford Arts Alliance is at 38 S. Unrestrained by Gabrielle Vitollo brings bright florals to the Church Street Gallery during June. An Opening Cocktail Reception will be held Friday, June 2 during First Friday in Downtown West Chester. The Church Street Gallery is at 12 S. Church Street, West Chester, PA. Kindred Art brings three artists—Mikel Elam, Carl Cellini, and Richard Metz—to The Art Trust through June 8. Featuring works created collaboratively, the various techniques create layers of perspectives. Then Dwell takes over from June 12 through August 4. Stroll through Kristi Gilfillan & Summer Scenes By Our Cottage Artists at Gallery 222. Featuring a dozen favorite local artists, it is the perfect place to cool off from June 7 to 24. Andrew Wyeth gets a new perspective at the Brandywine River Museum of Art in Home Places. The exhibition is on view through July 13. Check out all the details in this article on Chadds Ford Live. The Museum will also be the final stop for the magnificent traveling exhibition of Joseph Stella: Visionary Nature. Flowers Inspire at the Square Pear Gallery through July 8. Showcasing the beauty and versatility of floral art with a diverse range of styles and techniques, this show includes twenty-two local artists.
