Francis J. Clemens, of Chadds Ford, died Monday, Nov. 7, at the age of 71. He was born in Darby, to the late Rudolph & Anna Clemens. He is survived by his beloved daughter Lisa (Dusty) McKeown; grandchildren Brianna, Francis, Megan; siblings Ray Clemens (Lona), Bertha Ciarmello (Louis Jr), Paul Clemens (Kathy); fiancé Missy Connors, as well as, many loved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of over 30 years, Ruth Ann (nee Lappen) Clemens, parents Rudolph and Anna Marie (nee Farrell) Clemens, siblings Rudolph Jr, Joseph, Mary (nee Clemens) Butler, Ann (nee Clemens) Ryan, and Samuel.
Francis was a 1968 graduate of Monsignor Bonner, DCCC, and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service, he worked for many years as a refinery operator in Philadelphia. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren at the beach.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, Nov. 14, in St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd, Chadds Ford, PA 19317 from 9 to 10 a.m. His funeral mass will begin at 10:30, followed by interment in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA at about 12:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in Francis' name can be made to VFW Post 5467.
