Car dealer gives coats to kids

This month, the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation will distribute 58,239 new winter coats to underprivileged children living in the five-county region of Philadelphia via its 2022 Driving Away the Cold program. Since the program started 14 years ago, The Auto Dealers Caring for Kids Foundation has warmed the bodies and souls of more than 575,000 children.

David Kelleher, President of David Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Chadds Ford, has been a participating dealer of the Driving Away the Cold Program since 2008.

To date, David Kelleher and David Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM have given 7,462 new coats to local children in need — the largest donation of coats to date, from a single-point dealership.

This year, David Kelleher of David Dodge Chrysler Jeep will be personally delivering over 1,500 coats to City Team Ministries at 634 Sproul Street in Chester, on Nov. 8, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Driving Away the Cold is one of many events throughout the year where David Dodge Chrysler Jeep partners with City Team Ministries to enrich the lives of underprivileged children of the community.

Established in 2003, The Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation’s mission is to enhance and enrich the lives of children and youth in the communities in which its dealer members work and live, by providing access to and supporting excellence in the institutions and programs that serve local children.
