Berger Rental Communities of Malvern broke ground Tuesday for a new 166-unit apartment in Kennett Square. The complex, known as Kennett Square Apartments, will have two, four-story buildings with studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Rental prices will range from $1,300 to $2,500 per month. The complex is supposed to be ready by spring 2024.

Wine tasting classes are returning to R Five Wines in Downingtown. Wine Tasting 101 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Wine educator Jessica Nee will explore the five Ss of wine tasting - See, Swirl, Smell, Sip, and Savor! Jessica will walk attendees through the basics of wine tasting so you can better appreciate what you are drinking and approach wines like a pro. The tasting includes four wines, mini cheese, and a charcuterie plate. The cost is $35 per person, limited to 25 people. Order tickets here.

The next meeting of the Business and Professional Association of Western Delaware County is Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Brandywine Prime. Networking and cocktails begin at 6:15 p.m., dinner is at 7. Glen LeGault, of LeGault Financial Services, and Ann Angelucci, of Premier Payroll Services, are the scheduled speakers. The cost is $40. Go here to pay online.
