State police from the Avondale barracks arrested a 48-year-old Chadds Ford woman in Pennsbury Township for harassment with physical contact on Sept. 19. A report said the woman, not identified in the report, struck a 51-year-old Wilmington man on Chaddbury Lane.

Police arrested a 45-year-old man from Lincoln University on DUI charges after a one-vehicle crash on Doe Run Road in West Marlborough Township on Sept. 11. A report said the driver crashed a 2020 Ram truck into a fence about 2:30 a.m.

An Elkton, Md. man, 34, not identified, was arrested for shoplifting more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Walmart in East Marlborough Township on Sept. 17.

Erica Scott, 33, of Wilmington, was arrested for shoplifting at the East Marlborough Township Walmart, a police report said. The incident happened on Sept. 14. Police allege Scott tried to steal $236 worth of grocery items.

A 49-year-old Chadds Ford man was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Route 1 at Chandler Road in Pennsbury Township at 1: 02 a.m. on Sept. 15. Police reported no other details.

Police arrested a 28-year-old man from Maybrook, N.Y., for DUI following a traffic stop on E. Baltimore Pike at Onix Drive in East Marlborough Township on Sept. 10. The arrest happened at 3:43 a.m.

State police said a 34-year-old man from Kennett Square was arrested for drug possession after being stopped at a sobriety checkpoint on Aug. 20. The checkpoint was conducted at Baltimore Pike and Lenape Road in Kennett Township, and the stop was made at 1:10 a.m. The police report said the driver, not named, showed signs of impairment. Police said they saw empty beer containers and a THC vape pen in open view.
